2nd amendment.(it ain't about duck huntin)

As the saying goes, "it ain't about duck huntin"

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
”To most people who love their freedoms and constitutional rights, and want to keep those rights, this phrase is about our power to do so. It has never been about hunting or shooting sports. It is about fighting back against a tyrannical government. In the gun "community" we have people trying to tell us that we do not need our "assault rifles". The way I read the constitution and the way I interpret it is our guns are whats going to keep us a free people. So in my mind we need these so called "assault rifles". Hell, we need full auto large caliber machine guns. When the southern states seceeded from the union one of the first things they did was look for the most modern firearms possible. If our government ever tries to take away our other rights, as they try to with our second ammendment right, it will fall upon the people to fight. So are we supposed to fight a tyrannical modern government armed force with bolt actions and single shots? It just doesn't make sense to me. But then again I am of the mind that it is every Americans duty to be armed and willing to protect our land from enemies, foreign and domestic.

Molon Labe.. Come and Take Them

Molon Labe (come and take them)--------- Many gun owners and 2nd ammendment supporters subscribe to this idea or philosophy. When the time comes for the government to take away our rights to own firearms for our protection will any of us still hold to this philosophy? For the most part we (gun owners) are law abiding, patriotic, hard working, AMERICANS. We don't look for trouble. We don't cause trouble. We respect the police and know they are trying to protect us from criminals. That being said when a government agent knocks on your door telling you to hand over your now ILLEGAL "cache" or "ARSENAL". How many of us will really stand up and fight? I know what I would like to say I will do. I'm sure there are millions of gun owners who think they will say "COME AND TAKE THEM". But will we be united against our own government especially when we are so divided in our own group? We have elitists who fight against "ASSAULT WEAPONS".Gun owners are at a place in time where we can not afford infighting. This is just something that has been on my mind and I wanted to see if anyone had something to say about this.Or if anyone could shed a different light on our future with firearms and where we are heading. When was the last time a group of people stood up against our own tyranny? Are we to concerned with SUV's and keeping up with the Jonses to stand up for our rights? I hope not and I am sure we will find out in the not to distant future.

H.R. 1022 BOHICA!!!

If you haven't looked over H.R. 1022 you need to and get ready to get bent over. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) is the sponsor of a new and "improved" AWB. First things first, all the anti-gun politicians and those who are so friggin concerned with P.C. terminology need to find out what an "assault weapon" really is. Firearms with plastic stocks, removeable magazines, bayonet lugs, and or pistol grips are not automatically "assault weapons". Assault weapons are firearms that have select-fire capability (full-auto or 3 round bursts per pull of the trigger). This bill also addresses "hi-cap" magazines or large capacity ammo feeding devices. Now in my mind if GLOCK originally makes a weapon that holds 17 rounds then that would be the standard capacity for that weapon. What Mrs. McCarthy,Feinstein, and Rosie O' all want is reduced capacity. So what happens if someone were to say,"hey Rosie you can't have hicapacity double cheese-burgers anymore"? Well RosieO' would be quick to point out the fact that a double cheese burger comes with 2 patties, well a glock 17 holds 17 rounds. Also a SEC 3(L) of HR 1022 states the attorney general will decide if a weapon is a sporting arm or not. Who the hell said our firearms had to be used for sporting purposes? The 2nd ammendment is about protecting ourselves from our own goverment. Nowhere in the Bill of Rights is there reference to hunting or shooting sports . For years the goverment has let us purchase surplus MI carbines though the ODCMP. All you have to do is fill out the paperwork, belong to a shooting club and show you have competed b/4 and they will send you one.Now McCarthy has them on the "semi-auto assault weapon ban list". Well guess what, yall sold them to us!! http://www.govtrak.us/congres/billtext.?bill=h110-1022 This bill is trying to ban pretty much all of the fun plinking and self defense firearms that most people can afford.AK, AR, HiPoint carbins, Keltec Sub Rifle.Hey guys at the end of the day it comes down to the fact that our goverment wants to disarm us.These PUBLIC SERVANTS want you disarmed. Now ask yourself why that is. This is just my veiw who knows maybe my wife is right and I'm way to paranoid.
